International law firm Pinsent Masons has swept the board at the FT Innovative Lawyer Awards Europe, being named the most innovative law firm of 2015.

The firm was also triumphant in the Innovation in Client Service category, that it won with in conjunction with global consultancy Mercer, and in the Innovation in Technology category for its regulatory compliance solutions business, Cerico.

Elsewhere the firm was ranked ‘standout’ in the Corporate and Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Strategic Resourcing and Business Development categories. It was also ‘commended’ in the Finance category.

Richard Foley, Senior Partner of Pinsent Masons, says:

“This is a landmark achievement for the firm. Our people have listened closely to our clients to gain real insight into their needs, and responded with imagination and flair. We will continue to work in partnership with our clients, and help them to lead through disruptive innovation.”

Reena SenGupta, founder of RSG consulting, the architect and research partner for the FT Innovative Lawyers report, said in the report:

“Being the first mover is not the only indicator of innovation in the profession. Sometimes coming from behind can be a strength….Pinsent Masons, which was ranked 16th last year, takes first position in the FT’s overall index of top performers for the 2015 report….If the story of the legal sector over the past 10 years has been dominated by the financial crisis, the rise of the client and globalisation, the one for the next decade is likely to be how the profession deals with new technologies.”
